4 – Bodrum Castle
One of the most beautiful castles in the Aegean Region is the Bodrum Castle. This castle was built by the soldiers of Jerusalem. First the Roman Empire were housed there then the Ottoman Turks. In 1895 it was refunctioned into a prison and is now the Museum of Underwater Archaeology. You can find ancient shipwrecks there for example from the war of Gallipoli.
5 – Ephesus
The first establishment of the ancient city of Ephesus within the boundaries of Selcuk District of İzmir, goes back 6000 years. During the researches and excavations made in recent years, settlements belonging to the Bronze Ages and Hittites were found. Are there any Greek Gods still there?
